Mr. Robert A. Putnam, age 75, of 16 Cove Road, Melbourne Beach, FL 32951, passed away athis home on March 18, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. A funeral mass was celebrated at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Melbourne Beach on March 22.

Born in Ypsilanti, MI on September 10, 1937, the son of Harold and Dorothy Putnam, he graduated from Potsdam High School in 1955. He went on to earn an Engineering Degree fromthe University of Notre Dame in 1960 and an MBA from Harvard University in 1963. He married Mary Ellen Stevenson on June 28, 1958. The marriage ended in a divorce. Surviving are their children Margee and husband Doug Putnam-Pite of Santa Cruz, CA, Mary Alice and husband Dan Cohen of Evergreen, CO, Robert Putnam of Dutch Flat, CA, and Steven and wife Krishna Putnam of Scott’s Valley, CA. Bob is survived by his wife Linda Mueller. They were married on March 21, 1982. Also surviving are a sister Ruth and husband Gary Lord of Portland, OR, brothers Bill and wife KathyPutnam of Potsdam, and Jim and wife Deni Putnam, of Contoocook, NH, as well as 9 grandchildren. Bob enjoyed a successful business career. He established his own equipment leasing company, Amstat Capital, in Emeryville, CA. and was also elected President of the LeasingIndustry Association. In 1990, Bob suffered a major stroke and he and Linda eventually relocated to Melbourne Beach, FL. Bob will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.
