Sunday Walk/Run For Life aids MMH in fight against cancer


MASSENA – The 35th Annual Edward I. Moses Walk/Run for Life will be held this Sunday, with registration starting at 10 a.m. and the walk/run beginning at 11 a.m. at Appleton Arena in Canton. Anyone that wants to participate and needs a registration form can pick one up at any Kinney Drug store or on line at:

Please join in the effort to raise funds for St. Lawrence County charities dealing with the treatment, detection, education, prevention, and diagnosis of the disease of cancer.

Each year the Edward I. Moses Walk/Run for Life donates monies to benefit local hospital to help with cancer education and screenings. Massena Memorial Hospital has held PSA and skin cancer screenings, Women Education Forums and now working on a patient education program, all from the proceeds donated from the annual walk/run.

This year Massena Memorial Hospital will use the monies to continue offering community education on cancer; awareness and screenings help improve the understanding of for both men and women on signs and symptoms, and risk factors of Bladder, Prostate and Skin through special programs.
