Delta School

To The Editor:

Hi my name is Heaven German, and I go to the Delta School of Choice, also known as Alternative Education.

This school means a lot to each and every student that comes here. If you look at the change of grades and attitudes since most of the kids came here, you would be astonished.

To cut a sport like hockey or football it would be a World War, so you cut a school that has helped many kids and a place that means everything to the kids and teachers in it. Since a lot of these kids came to our school they’ve actually developed hopes and dreams for success.

I’ve been in this school since seventh grade, and I am now in 10th grade and since my eighth grade year I have had no failing grades. This is my second year going through this school getting cut and its stressful on the kids just as much as the teachers.

This school isn’t for a bunch of kids that don’t care and don’t want to graduate. This school is full of kids fulfilling their parent’s dreams and wishes.

The teachers in this school aren’t only our teachers, they are our inspiration, and they believe in us and will do anything to help us succeed. This school isn’t full of kids that are bad and dumb; it’s full of kids that aren’t that good at communicating and they have improved.

This is a school, not a program. It’s a school all year round, full time.

When we walk into the high school as someone from Delta School of Choice, they look at us like aliens. It’s very frustrating because we are normal.

We try our hardest to be accepted as the Delta School of Choice, and we should get that respect. If you come down here for a day, we don’t play pool and cards; we do everything they do in the high school. You guys should see how heartbroken everybody in this school is because you are ripping the heart out of this family. We are determined to get our family back, and we will. We put so much work into this school to make it our school. The kids and teachers in this school make this school, and we will continue to make this school better and to prove everybody wrong about us.

Heaven German
