POTSDAM - The Potsdam Central boys and girls track teams both managed NAC tri-meet splits on their home circuit on Monday.
The Sandstoners won both meets against their Salmon River counterparts but fell short to Gouverneur.
Jacob Erdman won the 3,200-meter run and was on the winning 3,200 relay as Gouverneur (5-0) earned a pair of wins in a double-dual meet in Potsdam.
The Wildcats beat Potsdam 138-92 and defeated Salmon River 177-55. Potsdam defeated the Shamrocks 119-87 1/2.
Oden Robertson won the 100 and 200 for the Sandstoners (2-2). Peter Clark finished first in the triple jump and high jump for Potsdam. Ethan Vinson led both the 1,600 and 800 meters. The quartet of Clark, Thomas Hobb, Robertson and Ebuka Ononye paced the 400 relay.
Also posting individual wins for Potsdam were Sam Lee in the 400, Josh Robar in the shot put and James Merrill in the high jump.
Salmon River fell to 1-4.
Gouverneur (3-2) edged the host Sandstoners 158-157 and also defeated Salmon River 219-47 in a double-dual meet in Potsdam. Potsdam enjoyed a 222-49 win over the Shamrocks (0-5).
Rachel Knowlton won the long jump and 100 hurdles and Kirstin Roberts claimed the shot put and discus for Gouverneur.
Madi Dow led Potsdam (1-2-1) with wins in the 100, 400 and 800. Kate Hildreth won the 400 hurdles and triple jump. Also posting first place efforts for the Lady Sandstoners were Sarah-Marie Choong in the 1,500 and Arielle Stoian in the high jump.
