N-N generates NAC track sweep at home over Canton

NORFOLK - The Norwood-Norfolk Central varsity track teams scored an NAC sweep at home over their Canton Central counterparts on Tuesday.

BOYS MEET

The Flyers scored wins in all but four events in outscoring the Bears 157-69. The trio of Connor Levison (110 hurdles 400 hurdles), Travis Hall 200, 200) and Will Schiavone (long jump, triple jump) anchored the N-N effort with two individual wins apiece. Kyle Fulk (3,200) Aaron Chandler (shot put) and Mason (discus) posted the other solo victories.

GIRLS MEET

The Lady Flyers logged wins in seven events and used their depth advantage to gain a 157-147 decision over Canton. Kaycee Saucier paced both the 1,500 and 3,000 while Arianna Colbert swept top honors in both the shot put and discus to pace the winning effort. Scoring solo firsts for the Lady Flyers were Alexis Sweet in the long jump, Cadence Hunkins in the 800 and Emily LaRoe in the 200.

MEET AT MASSENA

At a tri-meet hosted by Massena, the host Raider boys and girls both scored wins over Clifton-Fine while falling short to Franklin Academy.

In the boys meet, Andrew Brush accounted for the lone individual first for Massena by taking long jump honors as the Raiders beat C-F 152-41 while dropping a 160-79 decision to FA.

In the girls meet, Massena got solo wins from Jaclyn Lamica in the 200 and Washeshon Lazore in the high jump as they downed C-F 197-45 but fell to FA 192.66-121.33.
