POTSDAM Clarkson University baseball pitcher Greg Jasek scattered seven hits in a complete-game shutout and tripled to help the Golden Knights win the opener a Liberty League doubleheader on Sunday, 4-0, en route to a split against St. Lawrence.
The Saints captured game two, 6-5, in nine innings.
In the nightcap, Mark Syron went 3-for-5 with three RBIs and Paul Piatelli pounded out three hits for the Saints (20-15, 14-10), who clinched the third seed in the Liberty League playoffs. SLU will face second-seeded Rensselaer on Thursday in Albany. Top-seeded Union and Vassar complete the four-team field in the double-elimination tournament, whose winner earns an automatic berth into the NCAA Division III Tournament.
The Golden Knights wrapped up their season at 13-22 and 10-16.

Jason Hardie drove in four runs and Kyle Simmons plated three as the Cannoneers won the first game on their way to a Region 3 East Division split against the Timberwolves in Queensbury.
Nathan Mastervick went 3-for-4 and Jake Welch picked up his seventh win of the year, striking out eight for Jefferson Community College (26-17, 20-8), which will next play Saturday in the Region 3 playoffs against an opponent yet to be determined.
Nestor Velazquez slapped three hits with an RBI for SUNY Adirondack (11-10, 8-4).
RIT 10, CLARKSON 9 (OT)
Taylor Wismans goal two minutes, 28 seconds into overtime helped the top-seeded Tigers rally past No. 3 Clarkson to win the Liberty League championship in Rochester.
Wisman and Jack Krzyston each scored three goals for Rochester Institute of Technology (16-2), which scored the last four goals of the game.
Brendon Shearin led all scorers with five goals for Clarkson (10-6).
