Cape Vincent pair arrested for endangering the welfare of a child


CAPE VINCENT — Ashley M. Grant, 25, of 375 James St., and Jeremy J. Roshia, 25, of 21601 Floral Drive, Watertown, were arrested by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies Tuesday afternoon on charges of endangering the welfare of a child stemming from a domestic incident.

Ms. Grant and Mr. Roshia are accused of fighting in the presence of Ms. Grant’s 4-year-old daughter.

Ms. Grant was arrested at 2:47 p.m. at her residence and also was charged with second-degree harassment for allegedly striking Mr. Roshia several times and scratching him repeatedly, leaving red and bloody marks on his back and nose.

Mr. Roshia was arrested at 4:53 p.m. at her home. He also was charged with second-degree harassment for allegedly shoving Ms. Grant repeatedly during the argument and fourth-degree criminal mischief for allegedly damaging the rear door of her residence.

Both were ordered to appear in Cape Vincent Town Court.
