CANTON — St. Lawrence University women’s lacrosse co-captains Brigid Hurley and Holly Noyes earned second-team, all-Empire Region status Tuesday.

Hurley led the Saints in scoring with 61 goals and Noyes picked up 46 ground balls for SLU.

n Former St. Lawrence Central standout Ashley Thayer, a junior at SUNY Potsdam, earned second-team status on the all-SUNYAC softball team. Thayer was 5-8 and struck out 58 and also batting .314 for the Bears.

SUNY Potsdam’s Bailey Weigel was named to the second team of the all-SUNYAC women’s lacrosse squad. Weigel scored 22 goals with 11 assists and won 96 faceoffs.
