The second annual Ride for Dignity is June 1 with the start and finish lines in Henderson Harbor.

The event, sponsored by Watertown Rotary Club, benefits ShelterBox, an international relief organization that provides shelter, warmth and “dignity” to people in crisis around the world. Each ShelterBox provides an extended family with a tent and essential equipment for their use while they are displaced or homeless.

The 50-mile bicycle ride begins at 9 a.m. and the 25-mile ride begins at 9:30. Both begin at the West View Lodge, 13499 County Route 123. Packet pickup and race day registration begins at 7:30 a.m. at the lodge.

If registrations are postmarked by Friday, the cost of either ride is $30. Registration on the day of the event is $35. Active military members can save $5 when registering for the Operation Yellow Ribbon event.

Pick up registration forms at the Watertown YMCAs on Public Square and at Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds, Coffeen Street, Black River Adventurer’s Shop, 129 Mill St., or Blue Cat Cycles, 99 Public Square. Forms also may be downloaded at www.ridefordignity.com/.
