DWI - MASSENA - Village police charged Michael J. Bero, 53, of 12 Grassmere Ave., Massena, with driving while intoxicated and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle following a traffic stop at 10:44 p.m. Thursday. He was also ticketed for speeding on the Center Street Extension. Bero reportedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.16 percent, double the 0.08 percent threshold for a DWI offense.



HYPODERMIC NEEDLE - MASSENA - Village police charged Chad S. Wickwire, 28, of 5 North Main St., Massena, with possession of a hypodermic needle during a traffic stop at 4:39 p.m. Thursday on Liberty Avenue at Sycamore Street. Police said Wickwire had a needle fall to the ground when he was exiting a vehicle during a traffic stop. He was a passenger in the vehicle, police said.



INADEQUATE EXHAUST - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Corey J. Smith, 23, of Grove Street, Massena, for operation of a vehicle with an inadequate exhaust at 10:45 p.m. Thursday following a traffic stop on Main Street.



STOP SIGN - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Tashia M. McGregor, 29, of Perkins Road, Massena, with a stop sign violation at 9:44 p.m. Thursday following a traffic stop near Parker at Alvern Avenue.



INADEQUATE HEADLIGHTS - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Ashley M. Palmer, 25, of Laffin Lane, Hogansburg, for operation of a vehicle with inadequate headlights following a traffic stop at 8:05 p.m. Thursday on the Willow Street Extension.



ILLEGAL SIGNAL - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Leslie A. Moore, 27, of Haskell Street, Massena, for failing to activate her turn signal more than 100 feet from the turn.



CELL PHONE - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Andrew P. Deon, 19, of Route 26, Lowville, for using his cell phone while operating a motor vehicle at 3:58 p.m. Thursday following a traffic stop on Parker Avenue.



INADEQUATE STOP LAMPS - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Nathan A. Rogers, 18, of Stearns Street, Massena, for operation of a vehicle with inadequate stop lamps at 10:31 p.m. Wednesday following a traffic stop on Park Avenue.



STOP SIGN - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Alisha E. Deer, 19, of Hogansburg got a stop sign violation Wednesday afternoon following a traffic stop on Grove Street near Ridgewood Avenue.



SPEEDING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Brenda Deshane-Rush, 42, of Route 37C, Massena, for speed in zone at 9:52 a.m. Wednesday following a traffic stop on Willow Street.
