Julie’s Dance, Blue Heron, Hammond, DeFelsko’s win in Kiwanis

Julies Dance, Blue Heron Realty, and Hammond earned Kiwanis Softball wins recently while DeFelkso topped Hammond in Junior Grasshopper Baseball.

GIRLS SOFTBALL

Blue Heron 16, Source Capital Group 4: Natalie McCormick belted a homerun and pitched the win with Courtney Baker and Rylie Showers.

Morgan Macaulay stroked a triple while Adrianna Parks smacked a double and Baker, Showers, Sidney Johnson, Darian Snyder, Emma Showers, and Olivia Roberts each added a hit. Emma Stemples and Alexa McKee pitched for Source Capital. Katie House and Brielle McKee each connected for two singles while McKee, Brooke Meashaw, Emma Stemples, and Abbie Thompson each singled.

Julie’s Dance Def COPE Consulting: Rileigh Planty and Siarra LaFlair each belted a homerun, Kelsi Fraser delivered a big double and Sadie O’Neill, Claire Rishe, Jordan Sweeney, and Taylor Bell each stroked a single for Julie’s Dance. Natalie Crofut and Teegan Bell turned a double-play in the win.

Gabby Kroeger and Hope Walker each supplied a homerun for COPE.

Hammond def Lady Moose: Taylor Arquitt and Morgan Howie shared the winning pitching duties which was backed by fine defensive efforts from Howie and Hannah Tanner.

Kelsey Bennent delivered a 3-4 effort while Howie chipped in two singles and Hannah Tanner and Hannah Preston each singled,Katie Rogers and Desirae Graveline stroked two hits for the Ladies of the Moose.

JUNIOR GRASSHOPPER

DeFelsko def Hammond: Todd Carroll, Ian Sovie, Trent Sargent, and Kelson Hooper combined for 18 strikeouts backed by a solid offensive team effort for DeFelsko.

Trent Sargent (2 doubles, 2 singles), Todd Carroll (4 singles), Kelson Hooper (3 singles), and Drew Mills (2 singles) produced multiple hit efforts and Ian Sovie added a single. JD King drew scored two runs and stole his first base of the season. van Felt, Michael Bice, Dylan Moran, and Kade Krepel all scored a run.

Terry Krake and the Hammond pitching staff combined for eight strikeouts while the offense was provided by a Logan Tate (single), Kennan Gardner (single and a run scored), and Logan Jones (single).

Brady Howard, Jackson Messner, Kam Toland, and Cody Howard all competed hard at the plate as the Hammond players displayed fine sportsmanship and positive attitudes.
