To The Editor:
The Ogdensburg Garden Club held a very successful Just For The Birds auction and sale fundraiser May 4. We are so thankful to all the very talented builders and artists who made and decorated so many beautiful, functional and decorative bird houses: Jim Adams, Myrtis and Willard Ashley, Linda Batt, Laurie Brenno, Debbie and Tom Bruyere, the Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center Auxiliary Crafters, Sandi DiGiovanna, Jim Doe, Dianne Drayse-Alonso, Al Duprey, Tim Duprey, Lionel Gagnon, Trudy Gagnon, Lisa Gardner, Lauren Gilmour, Rich Grayson, Kim Haag, Sally Hartman, Marita Helfin-Looney, Dick Hollis, Dottie Howe, Kathy Kelly, Paul Knowles, Peggy and Mike Kotash, Joe Larocque, Adam Lynch, John Lynch, Deanna Macaulay, Lori McElhearn, Debbie McEwen, John Miller, Debbie Monteith, Ed Norris, Tom Patterson, Kathie and Frank Perretta, Bill Plimpton, Loni and Chuck Recker, Dottie Sharlow, Gerald Sholette, Nancy Skiff, Ethel Slocum, Laurie Swinwood, Sue Thomas, and Dianne Webster. We apologize if we inadvertently omitted someone.
Debbie Bruyere also deserves kudos for the lovely bird house quilt she designed and made for the raffle.
Special thanks to Betty Mallott, who was responsible for our many and varied publicity spots. Also thank you to Beth Lyons and Amanda Purcell at The Journal and John Friot at WWNYTV. One cannot have a successful event without great publicity.
We would also like to thank the Frederic Remington Art Museum for providing a beautiful venue for this affair and the UPS Store for printing the program. Last but not least, thank you to our community for supporting this event.
