This is the cover of the program for a March 2, 1901, performance at the City Opera House, 152-156 Arsenal St. On the stage that night was the Huntley-Jackson Stock Co. presenting Michael Strogoff. By 1921, the Opera House had become the Avon Theatre. It was torn down in 1967 to make way for Woolworths, which is Stream International today. A. Bushnell & Co., founded in 1867 by Albert Bushnell, his brother and a partner, was a department store in the J.R. Miller block on the north side of Public Square. The store changed hands several times in the 1920s and was eventually sold to the Grant chain.
