An Adams woman faces allegations that she received more than $3,000 in food stamps to which she was not entitled.
Julianne M. Vandusen, 34, of 21 E. Church St., Apt. 2, Adams, was charged by Watertown police Saturday with fourth-degree grand larceny, third-degree misuse of food stamps, first-degree offering a false instrument for filing and welfare fraud.
It is alleged that between March 2012 and October 2012 she received $3,200 in food stamp benefits from the Jefferson County Department of Social Services while filling out paperwork that failed to show she was receiving workers compensation benefits and child support payments.
She is due to answer the charges in City Court.
