No. 1 seed Salmon River and No. 2 St. Lawrence Central advanced in Section 10 Class C Boys Lacrosse semi-final action on Tuesday. The Shamrocks (16-0) won a 18-3 decision over (8-10) Potsdam while the Larries (14-2) doubled up (11-6) Canton 8-4.
Salmon River 18, Potsdam 3: The Shamrocks (16-0) rolled with a 6-1 first quarter lead as Dalston Day logged six goals and drew two assists and Sky Sunday tallied three goals and drew two assists). Russ Oakes tallied two goals and three assists and Trent Tarbell connected for three goals. Rounding out the Shamrocks scoring were: Kason Tarbell (one goal, four assists), Kyle Lewis (one goals, three assists), and Frank David (two goals). Skylar Thomas had three assists.
Kobi Johnson stopped five shots for Salmon River and Taz Oakes came in relief making one save. For Potsdam (8-1), Kyle Grant scored twice and Stephan Lewis connected once. Jason Cardinal had 13 saves.
SLC 8, Canton 4: A 14-2 SLC took a 5-1 halftime lead and Kody Kocsis handled nine shots for the win in goal against the visiting Bears (11-6).
Ian Lynch generated three goals and one assist to pace the Larries. Marshall Berninghausen tallied one goal and drew two assists. Blade Baldwin tallied a pair of goals while Styles Arquiett and Cody Burns each connected for a goal. Brody Simons logged an assist.
Jake Facey scored two goals for the Bears. Cody Moore added a goal and one assist while Peyton VanBibber chipped in a goal.
Brandon Rodee, Josh Pierson, and Hunter Yerdon all logged an assist as Nate Gibson played solid with 12 saves.
