Brushton-Moira Central School class leaders


BRUSHTON — The academic leaders for the class of 2013 at Brushton-Moira Central School are Mackenzie King, valedictorian, and William Pierce II, salutatorian.

Miss King, daughter of Chad and Tracie King, has an academic average of 98. She is class president and vice president of National Honor Society. She’s been involved in band, chorus, Math League, varsity volleyball, junior varsity and varsity basketball, French Club, senior play, Varsity Club and Dollars for Scholars.

She will major in physical therapy at Ithaca College, where she is enrolled in the accelerated physical therapy program.

Mr. Pierce, son of Trina Frederick and William Pierce Sr., has an academic average of 96.76. He is a member of Chess Club, Speech and Debate Club and National Honor Society. He has played roles in five school musicals and is a member of Theater Club.

Mr. Pierce will major in environmental science at SUNY Plattsburgh. He hopes to attend graduate school at SUNY-ESF, Syracuse.
