NO SEATBELT - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Michael J. Jordan, 25, of Clifton Park for failure to wear his seatbelt/ following a traffic stop at 10:11 p.m. Thursday on Clarkson Avenue.

UNSAFE BACKING - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Justin L. Snyder, 19, of Potsdam for unsafe backing at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Cactus Grill and Cantina parking lot following an investigation into an incident on May 14 when he reportedly backed into another vehicle and failed to report it. The victim observed the suspect vehicle in the Cactus parking lot Wednesday and called the Potsdam Police.

Editor’s Note: Potsdam Police have indicated the release they sent out Thursday detailing their activities on Wednesday was actually their botter for a date earlier this month.

0610 Received a report of a missing dog.

0620 Patrol observed a tree down on Spring Street. Department of Public Works notified.

0930 Received a report of an individual hanging around the areas surrounding the hospital that appears to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Patrols responded and were unable to locate the individual.

1316 Patrol responded to a business on Market Street to investigate a dog locked in a vehicle. Patrol located the vehicle and found it to be running with the air conditioner on.

1346 Traffic stop initiated on Leroy Street for avoiding a traffic control device, verbal warning issued.

1401 Traffic stop initiated on Market Street for avoiding a traffic control device. Verbal warning issued.

1425 Patrol seized a pack of cigarettes from several juveniles who were smoking them on Leroy Street in front of the hospital.

1655 Patrols responded to a burglar alarm at 1 Pioneer Drive.

2051 Patrol responded to a parking lot off Elm Street to investigate a dog locked in a vehicle. Patrol located vehicle and found the dog not to be in any distress and conditions inside vehicle acceptable.

2059 Received complaint of verbal dispute. Patrol responded.

2206 Received report of burglar alarm activation at business on Maple Street. Patrols responded.

2316 Potsdam Fire dispatched to an alarm activation on SUNY Potsdam campus.
