Ann B. Rima


Watertown — Ann B. Rima, 86, Burdick St., Watertown, wife of Carl A. Rima, passed away Thursday at the Samaritan Medical Center.

The prayer service will be 9:15 am Monday, May 27th at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home followed by a 10 am funeral mass at Holy Family Church with Rev. Steven Murray officiating. Burial will follow in North Watertown Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday, May 26th, from 4 pm - 7 pm at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home.

Ann was born in Watertown, June 1, 1926, a daughter to Dominick and Jennie Storino Tubolino. In her early years, Ann worked at the Highway Market and in the family green house and floral shop, Tubolino’s on Breen Ave. After her marriage to Carl A. Rima on March 6th, 1954, Ann worked at the Grand Union grocery store and in the Disbursements and Auditing Department at Camp Drum during the 1960’s.

Ann enjoyed Bingo, reading, going to casino’s and her dogs. She enjoyed spending summers at her cottage on Lake Ontario. Ann was a contributing source of pictures and information for the book “La Bella American” written by Frank Augustine, documenting the history of the Italian immigration to the Watertown area.

She is survived by her husband, Carl A., Watertown. Three daughters, Pamela (Tom) Brown, Duluth, MN; Julia Recor, Watertown; Mary Lou (James) Remsburg, Champion. 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A sister Frances Stanley, Watertown. A brother Angelo Tubolino, FL. Many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two daughters, Patricia Rima and Michelle Booth, and two sisters, Philomena Zambelli and Caroline Mulligan.
