Funeral services for Dorothy Skelly, age 92, formerly of Pickering St., Ogdensburg will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Notre Dame Church with Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Frary Funeral Home. Mrs. Skelly had been a resident of River Ledge Health Care and Rehabilitation Center for the past few years.

Mrs. Skelly is survived by one daughter, Bonnie Ritchie and her husband, Dale, of Heuvelton, four sons, Edward and his wife, Marianne, of Ogdensburg, John and his wife, Kathy, of Heuvelton, Timothy and his wife, Cindy, of Lisbon and J. Michael Skelly, of Ogdensburg; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-eight great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by one brother, Edward (Cubby) Kiah.

Mrs. Skelly was born on August 28, 1920 in Ogdensburg, the daughter of Edwards Cubby (Cadeiux) Kiah and Mabel Duval. She attended Ogdensburg schools. She married John (Bill) Skelly on September 6, 1940 at Notre Dame Church with Rev. A.D. Charbonneau officiating. Mr. Skelly passed away in 1969.

Mrs. Skelly was a homemaker all her life. She enjoyed knitting, maintaining her home, entertaining at her house, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.
