MADRID: Margaret Peggy M. Koch Dixson of Madrid of Lagrasse St. Waddington passed away on May 23, 2013 surrounded by her family at the age of 86. Peggy was born on May 4, 1927 in Brier Hill, NY. She attended school in Heuvelton and graduated from Morristown in 1944. She also attended Culver beauty school in Syracuse, NY and graduated in 1945. She is survived by three daughters, Sharon Sharpe and her companion Michael Francis of Lisbon, Belinda Koch of Waddington, Simone Arquiett and her companion Matthew LaForce of Waddington, a step daughter Kimberly and Jay Johnson of GA, a daughter in law Linda Dixson of Madrid, NY, a brother Lawrence Brown and his companion June of Heuvelton. She is also survived by sevengrandchildren, Crystal, Dustin, Anthony, Matthew, Alexsis, David, and Reid, two great granddaughters Cora and Slyvie. She was predeceased by her parents William and Margaret Brown. Her sisters Rachel Wright and Jenny Wood, her brothers Hartley and Mansil Brown, her husband George Koch on February 22, 1966, her second husband Ralph Dixson on April 30, 2005, a step son Rene Dixson in2006 and a son in -law Timothy Arquiett on November 22, 2010. She married George Koch in 1949. She married Ralph Dixson in 1968. They lived in the town of Madrid. She worked out of her Madrid home as a hairdresser or over 50 years. Peggy was active in Eastern Star and American Legion for 49 years. She was a member of Seaway Valley Senior Citizens of Madrid. She was the Chaplin at Eastern Star and a member of a member of Widows Club of Waddington. She enjoyed camping in Hannawa Falls, gardening, cooking and watching cooking shows, but she especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Funeral services for Peggy will be held on Wednesday May 29, 2013 at 10:00 am at United Church of Madrid. Interment will be in Madrid Cemetery.
