BINGHAMPTON -The New York State Baseball Committee announced on Friday night that the starting times for todays Class B Final Four games at Union-Endicott High School have been pushed back because of weather conditions.
The semifinal between third-ranked Ogdensburg Free Academy (13-2) and number one Fredonia of Section 6 is now scheduled for 3 p.m.
That game will follow a noon start between Section 3 champion Clinton and Section 8 champion Wheatley. The state championship game is now scheduled for 6 p.m.
According to the latest weather reports, the heavy rains of the past two days are scheduled to pass out of the Binghampton area early this morning.
On Friday night, the Final Four teams in all classes were honored at a cookout at NYSEG Stadium, home of the Binghamton minor league affilate.
Radio coverage will be offered for the OFA game on two stations. The ESPN Radio 1400 A.M. network with Chris Spicer will have a pre-game start at 2 p.m. with the first pitch starting at 3 p.m. The CBS Sports 1470 AM network with Chris Engel will begin with a pre-game at 2:40 p.m. approx. with the first pitch at 3 p.m. All times are subject to change depending on weather.
