WPBS-TVs taping of an April Stop DWI victims impact panel at the Watertown Urban Mission will air at 8 p.m. today on the public television station.
The one-hour video, Suffering the Consequences: Stop DWI New York, was organized by the missions Bridge Program and shows consequences and loss caused by driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The special features stories of families who lost loved ones and law enforcement officials.
WPBS and the mission will host a reception at 6 p.m. today at the mission, 247 Factory St., with a screening of the documentary at 7 p.m. and a panel discussion at 8 p.m.
Schools and groups looking to raise awareness and help prevent DWI can receive copies of the documentary.
The documentary also will air at 10 p.m. Monday and at 1 p.m. June 23, and will be available online for on-demand viewing at www.wpbstv.org.
