OGDENSBURG The St. Lawrence Federal Credit Union will host a grand opening Monday to celebrate the completion of its recent building expansion.
The bank remodeled to create a larger lobby and work space for customers and employees at 800 Commerce Park Drive. CEO Todd R. Mashaw said the new space is brighter and more welcoming.
Our staff worked in cramped quarters for some time, Mr. Mashaw said. The renovated branch lobby allows us to offer more convenience and privacy to our members.
The bank is open to customers, but following a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Monday, the drive-through ATM and after-hours deposit will open.
In the past five years, St. Lawrence Federal Credit Union, which has two locations in Ogdensburg and one in Canton, has grown from $66 million in assets to $100 million, with a membership of more than 10,400.
Our members are the reason why we are growing, Mr. Mashaw said. We invite any members from anywhere come down to take a look.
Grand-opening events for the new branch lobby are slated for Monday through Friday.
Throughout the week, there will be free giveaways of travel mugs, barbecue grill utensils and other prizes.
As a way of saying thank you, St. Lawrence Federal Credit Union will offer its members special bonus rates on new CDs and 10 percent off any personal loan through June 28.
We want to let our members know we appreciate their trust and loyalty, Mr. Mashaw said.
The second and final phase of the expansion, the enlarged operations center, is scheduled to open in mid-August.
A member appreciation day will be scheduled in August once the project is completed.
