Two men have been indicted on allegations that they supplied underage females with marijuana and induced them into sexual performances.
Roland J. Frickey Jr., 50, whose last known address was in Evans Mills, is charged with three counts each of second-degree criminal sale of marijuana and third-degree sexual abuse, two counts each of use of a child in a sexual performance, second-degree criminal sex act and second-degree rape, as well as 13 counts of endangering the welfare of a child and a single count of unlawfully dealing with a child.
Clifford J. Mele, 30, whose last known address was in Harrisville, is charged with two counts of third-degree sexual abuse and single counts of second-degree criminal sale of marijuana, use of a child in a sexual performance and unlawfully dealing with a child. He is also charged with five counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
The charges were contained in grand jury indictments handed up Thursday in Jefferson County Court.
It is alleged that in the months of November and December in the town of LeRay, Mr. Frickey sold or gave marijuana to a 13- and a 14-year-old girl. It is further claimed that he induced the teenagers into a sexual performance and that he had sexual contact with them.
It is alleged that Mr. Mele also provided the 14-year-old with marijuana, induced her to engage in a sexual performance and had sexual contact with her. It is alleged that he did so in the presence of the 13-year-old girl.
It is further alleged that Mr. Frickey wrote a sexually explicit letter to the 14-year-old girl and gave it to her in December and that he sold or gave her cigarettes.
