Frances Creighton’s volunteerism celebrated

The Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center Auxiliary recently presented its 2013 Honorary Membership Award to Frances Creighton.

Mrs. Creighton began volunteering for the Auxiliary on Feb. 26, 1996, and continues to be an active member of the auxiliary.

She started her hospital volunteer work in 1995, greeting patients and families in the hospital lobby with her cheerful smile. Today she continues to be active in both roles as a volunteer and as an auxiliary member.

Mrs. Creighton continues to volunteer in Patient Registration copying and putting together patient admission packets.

Mrs. Creighton, who has resided in Ogdensburg for 60 years, will turn 91 today.

Her children are Fred and Lisa Creighton of Ogdensburg and Ken Creighton of Ohio.

She has five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her volunteer work, Mrs. Creighton worked at the Cleveland Container, Newberry’s, and before she retired, worked in food service within the school system.

For more information on becoming a member of the Claxton-Hepburn Auxiliary, please contact membership chair Rondalyn Jacobs or auxiliary liaison Ramona Kennedy at 393-1559.
