HEUVELTON A man suffered a fractured leg after a Jet Ski accident on the Oswegatchie River Thursday.
Rescue personnel from Ogdensburg and Heuvelton responded to a report of a Jet Ski accident near the village boat launch at 6:39 p.m.
The accident occurred after Ronald C. Green, Jr., 42, and Bryan A. Green, 17, both of 14 Wilson St., were trying out their new Jet Skis.
St. Lawrence County Sheriffs Deputies say that Ronald C. Green was operating a 1994 Arctic Cat Jet Ski when his son, Bryan A. Green, sharply turned in front of his father who was riding a 1995 Polaris.
Bryan A. Green was ejected from the Jet Ski and suffered a fracture to his left leg. He was airlifted to Upstate University Hospital, Syracuse, via LifeNet Medical Helicopters.
Bryan A. Green was wearing a life vest at the time of the collision. It is unclear whether Ronald C. Green was wearing one.
No tickets have been issued. Sgt. Ryan P. Shelly and Deputy Mary N. Prinz from the St. Lawrence County Sheriffs office say they are still investigating the incident.
