Funeral Services for Rev. Phillip A. Caruso, age 60, of 424 Main Street Ogdensburg, will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 10:00a.m. at the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Rev. Duane Durst officiating. Burial will be in PineHill Cemetery following funeral services. Calling hours will be held from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2013 at Frary Funeral Home on 515 Caroline Street. Mr. Caruso passed away Wednesday evening, June 19, 2013 surrounded by his loving family.

Phillip is survived by his loving wife, Jacqueline; a daughter, Alyssa (William) Payne; two sons, Jeremy (Mary) Caruso and Joshua (Joan) Caruso; his mother, Shirley Caruso of Fort Edward, NY; a brother, David (Carol) Caruso of Hudson Falls, NY; two sisters, Debbie Caruso and Christine (John) Wanzer of Columbus, OH; six grandchildren, Drew and Cole Caruso, Cadence and Delia Payne and Rowan and Olivia Caruso and also many nieces and nephews. Rev. Caruso was predeceased by his father, Anthony Caruso in 1980.

Mr. Caruso was born on October 29, 1952 in Fort Edward, NY, the son of Anthony C. and Shirley Phelps Caruso. Phillip graduated from Fort Edward High and then went on to graduate from SUNY Plattsburgh in December of 1973 with a Bachelor Degree in Chemistry. Phillip married Jacqueline C. Spring on June 2, 1972 in Fort Edward, NY. Mr. Caruso was a senior pastor employed by the New Life Assembly of God in Ogdensburg, NY where he presided for the last 26 years.

Phillip was an affiliate of the Assemblies of God as an Ordained Minister, and in addition served the Lewis County United Way, The Lewis County Chapter of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International and also served on the New York District Presbytery for four years.
