To The Editor:

My name is Nabiha Qudsi, and I am the current executive assistant on the New York District Key Club Executive Board. An executive assistant has several responsibilities to fulfill, such as keeping track of biweekly paperwork, assisting other members of the district board, especially the governor and other lieutenant governors with their paperwork and other tasks, attending numerous board meetings throughout the service year, work to edit and educate about the New York District Bylaws on the Laws and Regulations Committee, and go to International Convention. International Convention provides an opportunity for me to elect new international officers, attend numerous workshops and events, have an opportunity to receive awards that our clubs are eligible for, and provide a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet people throughout the world that are enthusiastic about Key Club. This year, International Convention will be held in Washington, D.C., from June 30 through July 7. The cost of this trip is $925 per person, which is very expensive.

I am writing to seek a donation of monetary amount your organization may afford toward this trip in order to make it possible for me to represent Ogdensburg and the New York District this summer. I understand that you may be unable to, due to the economic hardships our area is facing, but I deeply appreciate your time and consideration.

Checks can be made payable to Ogdensburg Key Club, and mailed to Christina Frank at 1100 State St., Ogdensburg, N.Y., 13669. If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to contact me at nabihaqudsi.ea@nydkc.org or 528-6211.
