Ronald D. Haven, 75, of Cicero, died peacefully Monday, June 17th at Iroquois Home, Syracuse. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Graves) and daughter, Cheri, and predeceased by daughter, Debora. Born in Ogdensburg, NY, he was the only child of Ada and Dean Haven.

In 1954, Mr. Haven graduated from Heuvelton Central School and attended Canton ATC. Before moving to Syracuse in 1959, he was employed by Smithers Buick of Canton.

As an employee of Carrier Corp, he was foreman in Shipping, Production Control and Production. During his last ten years as a technician in the Model Shop, he participated in developing patentable air conditioning improvements. Ron, “Pops” to his friends, retired from Carrier in 1998. He was an avid hunter and fisherman in both the Adirondacks and Canada.

Services will be Thursday, June 27 at 6 pm preceded by calling hours from 4 to 6 pm at Fergerson Funeral Home, 215 South Main Street, North Syracuse.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, to the South Bay Fire Department or the Oneida Lake Association.
