To The Editor:
My name is Laken Kelly, and I recently became the lieutenant governor of Division 24 for the New York District Key Club. At the time of my election, I was asked to sign a lieutenant governor service agreement that listed all of the duties I would have to fulfill during my term as lieutenant governor, one of which was my attendance at the Key Club International Convention in Washington, D.C., June 30 through July 7.
I am writing to you to request your financial help as I attempt to reach my goal of attending the International Convention. The International Convention is an amazing event at which I will be able to make friends with fellow Key Club members from across the world, attend stimulating workshops, visit monuments across Washington, and participate in both a caucus session and the House of Delegates to elect future Key Club leadership. At International Convention, I hope to gain more knowledge about Key Club International, service projects that can be used to help those in our communities, and charities across the world that can use the help of dedicated Key Club members every day. With that said, while this is a wonderful opportunity for me, it will be even more beneficial to the Key Club members of Division 24. After I return from the International Convention, it is my intent to share with these members ideas from student leaders across the world.
Please consider helping me reach my goals of attending the Key Club International Convention in Washington so that I can take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. Please send all donations to Ogdensburg Free Academy Key Club, c/o Christina Frank, advisor, 1100 State St., Ogdensburg, N.Y., 13669. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
