Edward L. Jordan, 61, of Lisbon, NY, passed away early Monday morning, June 24, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Services will be held Thursday June 27, 2013 at St. Philip and James Church in Lisbon at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Kevin O’Brien pastor officiating. Burial will be in Morley Cemetery. Friends may call at the O’Leary Funeral Home in Canton Wednesday afternoon and evening 2-4 and 7-9.

Edward was born in Potsdam, NY on August 13, 1951. He graduated from Lisbon Central School in 1969 and then attended SUNY Canton. Ed was married to Deborah Burwell on October 20, 1972.

He had been battling lung cancer for almost two years and was recently under the care of Hospice of St. Lawrence County. Ed is survived by his wife, Deborah, of 40 years; and 3 daughters, Nicole Jordan, Erica Kaiser & Todd Kaiser and Alicia Jordan. Also, surviving are his sisters Louise Sanderson, Kathy and Mark Londraville, Joann & Keith Felix and sister-in-law, Arlene Jordan. Ed had several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Dorothy & Leon Jordan and his brother Michael Neil Jordan.

Ed worked as a long time manager of the Co-Generation plants in Beaver Falls, NY and Syracuse, NY. Recently, Lakeside Energy of Chicago, Illinois purchased the plants and promoted Ed to Vice President & General Manager. Ed officiated football and lacrosse in Section 10 for over 22 years. He was currently President and an active member of the River Valley Antique Tractor Club. Ed was also an avid NY Giants fan and served in the National Guard for several years.
