A Watertown man was arrested Monday afternoon after he allegedly threatened a woman with a shotgun.
City police charged Michael J. Stewart, 35, of 650 Emerson St., upper apartment, with second-degree menacing, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child following a domestic disturbance about 10 a.m. Monday at his home.
Police said he threatened Alexandra J. Stirling that he was going to shoot her while she was holding their 7-month-old son. Mr. Stewart had a prior assault conviction from 2005, making it illegal for him to possess a weapon.
He was taken to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment.
