Cape Vincent restaurant review too harsh

Walter Siebel’s review of Petroske’s BIN-427 restaurant in Cape Vincent needs to addressed. As owners of Aubrey’s Inn, my family and I struggle every year at the start of the summer season with the influx of customers more than quadrupling. We have the advantage of having a good, veteran, year-round crew that grows to triple the size with new employees.

To start out as BIN-2 did with a completely new crew was an insurmountable task, but with the season so short, the risk had to be taken. Many restaurants that Mr. Siebel reviews are open year-round with a veteran crew and steady number of clientele.

The Petroskes are very well liked and respected family. Apparently, unknown to Mr. Siebel, was that they have been faced the last few months with Mr. Petroske being diagnosed with terminal cancer. Ironically, he succumbed the very morning that this scathing article appeared. They were giving all of their attention where it was needed.

In a few months, please come back and then do your review.
