To The Editor:

Community Action Angels would like to extend a warm thank-you to everyone who helped to make our recent Vendor Blender Fundraiser a success. We enjoyed a beautiful evening, at the water’s edge, with a wide array of vendors, live music, and attractions for kids of all ages.

The Dobisky Center was just perfect; thanks to the Ogdensburg Recreation Department for meeting our needs so beautifully. Thanks, also to Darcy Sharpe and Tonya Moulton for helping to plan this event; we couldn’t have done it without you. We’d like to offer special appreciation to Friot’s Bounce House Rentals for donating a bounce house for the event; as well as to musicians Barb Heller, Carl Perkins, and Pat Duffy for donating their time and talent to our cause.

Last but not least, thanks to all of the vendors who made this event a reality, including: Darcy Sharpe (The Pampered Chef), Tonya Moulton (Scentsy), Colleen Anderson (Origami Owl/Tastefully Simple), Rose Martin (PartyLite Gifts), Peter Beckstead (S&B Maple Creations), Michelle Crump (Discovery Toys), Marlee Barse (Lindt/Tealightful), Ashley Durham (Avon), Marilyn Cooke (Lia Sophia), Laurel Roethel (River Rat Designs), Jessica Lucero (Mary Kay), Psychic Rich (Magic Ace Entertainment), Tessa Fields (Thirty-One), Carey White (Carey White Photography), Tracy Cox (Inlay Design Studios), and Mr. Ding-A-Ling (Ice Cream Truck). These small business people are our friends and neighbors, and deserve not only our thanks, but our support!

Community Action Angels is an innovative, volunteer-driven initiative that strives to assist in meeting needs of individuals and families that cannot be met through other resources. Through programs, drives, and events, Community Action Angels embraces the philosophy of giving. Those helped are encouraged to help others in return, thus creating a “Circle of Giving” in St. Lawrence County. Community Action Angels is a program of the St. Lawrence County Community Development Program (CDP). Other CDP Programs include Head Start and Neighborhood Centers, as well as Weatherization, Transportation, and Personal Care Services.
