Funeral services for Beverly A. des Rosiers, age 76, of 1321 Ford Street, Ogdensburg will be held at a later date. She passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Arrangements are with Frary Funeral Home.

Mrs. des Rosiers is survived by two daughters, Deborah Janson and her partner, Timothy McCabe, of Ogdensburg, and Elizabeth Laurie and her husband, John, of Mountainville, NY; a son, Gregory Burns and his wife, Theresa, of New Windsor, NY; grandchildren, Dustin, Jeremy, Kimberly, Michael, Shane, Gregory, Michael, and Marcella; and a great grandchildren, Olivia Mae; several nieces and nephews; two sisters, Amy Erwin of Ogdensburg and Joan Riley of New Jersey. She was predeceased by her brother, George Burns and her sister, Rita Hess.

Mrs. des Rosiers was born in Ogdensburg, NY on August 23, 1936, the daughter of William George and Mary Spooner Burns. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in 1955. She worked as a supervisor at West Point Military Academy. She married Robert J. Burns on June 29, 1957 in Blauvelt, NY. On January 18, 1980, she married James T. des Rosiers.

Mrs. des Rosiers was a long time resident of the Town of Highlands. She was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Cathedral. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Donations may be made in her memory to the Ogdensburg SPCA or St. Mary’s Cathedral.
