BURGLARY - RUSSELL - Canton-based state police charged Timothy S. McClyment, 53, of Degrasse with second-degree burglary, second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon with intent to use Sunday morning as part of an investigation into a burglary complaint reported at 12:45 p.m. June 25 from the town of Russell. Troopers had charged Frederick J. Davis, 49, of Chase Mills with third-degree assault and criminal mischief Saturday in connection with that same investigation.

PETIT LARCENY - POTSDAM - Canton-based state police charged Richard L. Benedict, 31, of Hogansburg with petit larceny following a shoplifting complaint at 2:59 p.m. Sunday from the Potsdam Walmart.

PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENTS - POTSDAM - State police from around the region investigated a number of property damage accidents Sunday. Among those:

■ Andrea K. Gillette, 19, of West Branch, Mich., and Renee C. Moses, 50, of Canton were involved in a two-vehicle collision at 8:12 p.m. Sunday on Route 11, near the Morley-Potsdam Road, in the town of Potsdam.

■ Warren A. Potter, 50, of Potsdam at 10:20 p.m. on state Route 345, near Smith Road, in the town of Potsdam.

■ Wendy J. Miller, 26, of Canton at 9:20 p.m. on state Route 345, near Cogswells Corner Road, in the town of Madrid.
