ANTWERP – Barbara G. “Bonnie” Call, 72, 37795 Old US Route 11, died Saturday, June 29th at the home of her son, Jeffrey, in Baltimore, Maryland.

Born in Carthage on June 15, 1941, the daughter of Claude & Emma Gizzi Dobson, she graduated from Antwerp High School with the Class of 1958.

She married the love of her life, Leon A. Call on April 23, 1960 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Antwerp. Bonnie and Leon purchased the family homestead in Antwerp in 1964. It was previously owned by both her grandparents and parents. Mr. Call died on November 29, 1999.

She enjoyed a 50 year career in banking with various institutions in Northern New York. She was currently employed by the West Carthage branch of Community Bank, NA as a loan officer.

Bonnie was a beautiful individual that had many interests, but especially enjoyed her family, dinners out with friends and annual trips to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

She is survived by her sons and daughter in laws; Jeffrey B. & Diana Call, Baltimore, Maryland, Jon A. & Julie Call, Antwerp, Jamee R. & Denise Call, Antwerp and her daughter, Julie Jo Kilian, Charleston, South Carolina. Also surviving are her grandchildren; Emma, Haley, Natalie and Michaela Call, Thomas Kilian, Karlee and Katie Call, her great grandchildren, Jordan Call and Ellie Gaumes and her brother, Herbert Dobson, West Palm Beach, Florida.

Besides her husband, Leon, she is predeceased by her brother, James Dobson and her sister, Claudine Pann.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 3rd at 11:00 AM at St. Michael’s Church in Antwerp. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held at the Family Home, 37795 Old US Route 11, Antwerp on Tuesday. Her family will receive visitors after 1:00 PM. Arrangements are being handled by the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., Carthage.
