AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION - POTSDAM - Village police charged Eva J. Garlach, 43, of Norfolk with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle andfailure to turn as required at 12:18p.m. Wednesday following a traffic stop on Market Street. Police said the stop was made after Garlach was observed passing straight through an intersection with Market Street while traveling in a turn only lane. A subsequent check of her driver’s license, which expired on Oct. 11, 2012, revealedher operating privileges had been suspended on Aug. 18, 2011.



FOLLOWING TOO CLOSELY - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Paige E. Losey, 20, of Winthrop for following too closely at 5:13p.m. Wednesday following a two car/one motorcycle accident on Market Street. Village police, the Potsdam Volunteer Rescue Squad, and Potsdam Volunteer Fire Department members responded to the scene.The motorcycle operator was assessed by EMS staff and declined to be transported to CPH, police said.

1154 Patrols responded to a reported domestic dispute in the SeaComm Plaza Parking Lot.

1218 Traffic stop on Market Street. Ticket issued.

1232 A village resident called to inquire about a possible fraudulent call she received where the caller demanded that she immediately pre-pay for her Verizon service, even though she is not a customer, or they would deduct the money from her checking account.If anyone receives a similar call, please contact the Verizon service department to determine if there is a problem with your service account, 1-800-VERIZON or 1-800-837-4966.

1320 A patron of the library reports a subject is drinking a beer in the public library. Patrols responded and located the violation.

1335 Patrol responded to a two-vehicle motor vehicle accident on outer Market Street.

1432 Patrol dispatched Potsdam Rescue to a call at the Family Health Center on outer Main Street.

1507 Patrols retrieved some property that was found in the parking lot at CPH.

1604 Patrol dispatched Potsdam Rescue to a one vehicle roll-over accident on Rt. 56 near Bows & Bandanas.

1640 Patrols investigated a reported physical dispute between employees at a local business.

1713 Patrols dispatched Potsdam Rescue and responded to a two car/motorcycle accident on Market Street.

1802 Patrol responded to a commercial burglar alarm at a village business.

2000 Dispatched Potsdam Rescue to a call.

2015 Dispatched Potsdam Rescue to a call.

2053 Traffic stop. A verbal warning was issued.
