Lowlife takes flowers from mother’s grave

I am a retired deputy sheriff from Jefferson County, a 25-year veteran. I have investigated many crimes in this county, everything from disorderly conduct to burglary. Arrested many for driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation. It is fair to say I have seen at his lowest. My family lost our mother, she has passed into a better realism. Yet some lowlife has seen fit to steal the flowers from her grave. Now, you may call me cheap.

I bought the flowers to put on her grave, I am not a gardener. My mother said, “James, you have a black thumb,” but I did think enough to buy some and place them upon her grave.

You can imagine my shock to find the flowers stolen. So, I bought another plant to place upon her grave and the lowlifes struck again. If I find you or better yet catch you in the act, not only will I prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law, but I will make sure that every television, radio station and every newspaper I can think of will hear about the deed.

Maybe your conscience will not bother you, but I hope public ridicule will.
