Helen Favret


Helen Amo Favret, 88, of 461 Market St. Cape Vincent, died on July 6th, ater a short illness at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown.

She was born on January 5, 1925, the daughter of Charles and Edith Chapman Amo. Helen spent her entire life enjoying the close knit community of Cape Vincent.

She was married to her high school sweet heart, Lyle M. Favret on April 26, 1948 at St. Vincent De Paul Church, Rosiere. Lyle died February 19, 2000.

Helen is survived by four sons; Phillip (Pamela), Mark (Ginger),Dennis (Dawn), all of Watertown and Joseph (Patricia LeConey), Clayton; a daughter Rhonda Favret, Cape Vincent. 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Helen was the youngest of ten brothers and sister that have all pre deacesed her.

Helen will be fondly remembered as a loving mother of five who devoted her life to raising her children and loving and supporting her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She enjoyed reading, puzzles, traveling, bird watching and the occasional glass of wine.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00 AM Wednesday July 10 at St. Vincent of Paul Church, Cape Vincent. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with the Cleveland Funeral Home, Cape Vincent.

In lieu of flowers, donation can be in her memory to the Cape Vincent Ambulance
