PAROLE WARRANT - MASSENA - Village police picked up Raymond E. Artz, 37, of 108 Liberty Ave., Massena, on a parole warrant at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday on the footbridge. He was transported to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility and held on the parole warrant. He had been sentenced in July 2008 in Jefferson County Court to two to six years in state prison for felony driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle convictions. He was last released from the 120-day Willard Substance Abuse Treatment Program on April 9. The maximum expiration date of his current sentence is June 4, 2014.



FAILURE TO YIELD - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Philip Kennehan, 78, of Brasher Falls for failure to yield the right of way and following too closely at 10:12 a.m. Tuesday following a property damage accident on South Main Street.



UNSAFE BACKING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Christopher J. Plourde, 22, of Route 420, Massena, for unsafe backing at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday following a property damage accident in the Walmart parking lot.
