CRIMINAL POSSESSION MARIJUANA - BRASHER - Massena-based state police charged Matthew J. Allen, 26, of Massena with second-degree criminal possession of marijuana - more than one pound following a traffic stop at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday on County Route 53 in the town of Brasher.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - COLTON - Canton-based state police reported Thursday they had charged Christopher J. Hochlander, 25, of Sodus with unlawful possession of marijuana and ticketed him for operation of a vehicle with an obstructed vision at 3:31 p.m. June 29 following a traffic stop on state Route 56.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - MOIRA - Malone-based state police charged Michael J. Helm, 41, of Moira with fourth-degree criminal mischief following an investigation into a domestic dispute complaint made at 2:46 p.m. Wednesday from the town of Moira. Helm reportedly prevented another person from making an emergency call.

PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENTS - MASSENA - State police from around the region investigated a number of property damage accidents on Wednesday. Among those:

■ Vincent E. Vari, 46, of Massena at 8:30 a.m. on Peru Street, near Route 11B, in the town of Lawrence.

■ Rosebud Cook, 43, of Hogansburg and Richard J. Gabri, 54, of Massena were involved in a two-vehicle collision at 8:54 p.m. on Rooseveltown Road, near Route 37C, in the town of Massena.
