BRASHER FALLS - Rons Agridrainage picked up its second win in as many games with an 18-11 High School Division decision over Embridge-St. Lawrence Gas in Northern New York Box Lacrosse action from the Tri-Town Arena on Wednesday.
The other High School Division matchup saw B&W Quick Stop even its early-season record to 1-1 with a 16-10 win over Massena Savings and Loan. In the Elementary Division game, Stacey Howell, DDS, outscored Dow Electric 12-6 for a second straight win while the Adult Division contest had the Reds beating the Whites 18-13.
Ogdensburg Pepsi sponored Powerade Player of the Game awards for the High School and Elementary Division games.
HIGH SCHOOL DIVISION
Rons 18, Embridge-SLG 11: Matthew Burg netted three goals to earn player of the game honors in the winning effort. Drew Rose tallied five goals and an assist while Owen Kowalchuk (1 assist) and Dennis Powell each chipped in a pair of goals.
Ethan Beeson was player of the game for Embridge SLG after notching two goals and one helper. Hunter Storrin connected for another three goals while Matt Duchscherer added a goal and assist.
B&W Quick Stop 16, Massena S&L 10: Player of the game Nick Kowalchuk generated three goals and an assist for B&W Quick Stop. Will Arquiett scored four goals followed by Lukas Arquiett with three while Ben Snider contributed two goals and an assist.
Zach St. Hilaire fashioned two goals as player of the game for Massena S&L. Jeff Bain produced four goals while Garrett Clark finished with two.
Rotating in goal over the course of the two games, Kody Kocsis turned aside 32 shots and contributed offensivley with two goals and four assists while Parker Hornung notched 26 saves, Joel Hinkley 19 saves and Cash Feeley 14 saves.
Stacey Howlett, DDS 12, Dow Electric 6: Michael Donie broke through for seven goals in earning player of the game status for the winning team. Gage Charleson added three goals.
For Dow Electric, Jayden Ashley was named player of the game after logging a three-goal effort while Damien Rotach connected for a pair of goals. Logan Premo worked the Dow Electric crease for nine saves.
Reds 18, Whites 13: Brian Newtown anchored a balanced offense with three goals and three assists while Martin Fregoe and Charlie Dullea collected four goals apiece in the winning effort. Kocsis turned aside 26 shots backstopping the win.
For the Whites, Cody Kilcoyne and Kevin Logan each finished with three goals and one assist while Kevin Cootware netted a singleton and Bryan Labier worked the crease for 27 stops.
