I plan to use all of my knowledge that I have learned, to keep my body happy and healthy, and I know how to protect others from things like bullying, smoking, using tobacco, and using drugs.
Having a great life is a huge part of having a life. My life is great and I dont want to ruin it! You shouldnt ruin your life either.
Now, onto bullying and stress. Whenever you see anybody being bullied, you should stick up for them or tell a responsible adult that is nearby, and when you are under stress, try to calm down! Take a nap, play outside, read a book, or do something that you love.
Hopefully, D.A.R.E. is going to continue, and I hope that D.A.R.E. is used all across America, so less children and teens (and adults too) end heir life after a short period of time. D.A.R.E. is a very great program that is fun and informative. I love D.A.R.E. and I will always use the great information that I learned.

Has anyone come up to you and asked you if you would like to try drugs, drink beer, or smoke cigarettes? I hope you said no if they did ask you. If you said yes, I wish you good luck with your life.
A little information on alcohol, drugs, and tobacco usage; dont do it! In the U.S., the drinking limit is 21. The reason being 21 is because youre still growing. When you drink when youre younger, beer and other alcohol will affect your life even more. Some of the side effects is memory loss and drinking really slows down reflexes. These can do a lot to you and may hurt your family members for seeing you this way.
Now for tobacco usage and cigarettes. Just to point out the obvious, these can and will kill you. If it doesnt kill you, you will suffer. There are like 200+ deadly chemicals in just one tiny cigarette, so I think Why would people smoke even if they know what is in a cigarette? The reason is because they think smoking is cool and all that.
Well I dont think that and I be other people do to. Many people die from tobacco usage. The exact number is 400,000 people and an additional 50,000 die from second-hand smoke. Second-hand smoke is when someone is smoking and youre with them inhaling all the smoke and getting the effects as the person smoking.

D.A.R.E. was a fun way to learning how I could learn to handle situations that I didnt know how to handle before. With the help of D.A.R.E., I now know how to handle bullying, alcohol, and smoking in a safe and responsible way. These are the topics that I had trouble handling with. But, now I know!
I have witnessed some bullying in school, but I wasnt really sure about what to do. From D.A.R.E., I now know how to use the 5 Ws, report bullying, and to not be a bystander. The 5 Ws is who is being bullied, what is happening (for of bullying). when did it happen, where did it happen, and why was it an issue (explanation). The 5 Ws really help to report bullying.
A bystander is someone who sees bullying or something bad going on and they just let it pass or watches it and does nothing. To be responsible with bullying and to put a stop to it I cant be a bystander. I learned to be safe and when dealing with a bully and bullying.
Although the situation has never occurred yet, I have learned ways to avoid alcohol before I am old enough. Because of D.A.R.E. I know how to say no to alcohol, make and excuse, and to just leave. When making an excuse, I learned to say it confidently and to be thorough. If all out fails, just walk away or leave. Alcohol is very harmful to children and adults when abused. Best way to handle it is to just say no.
My uncle quit. Not life, just smoking. Now I know I will have my uncle for an even longer time now that he has quit. To quit smoking is one of the few times it is good or ok to quit.
A single cigarette contains over 200 harmful chemicals that nobody needs. One of those chemicals is nicotine. Nicotine is highly addictive so thats why it is very hard to quit smoking. Smoking causes lung cancer and over 400,000 Americans die from it each year. There is a lot more problems than that from smoking! But all I know is that I will never start and when I am offered one, I will just say no.
I had a fun learning experience with D.A.R.E. I now know what to do in many other situations including the ones I have already talked about. I now can make responsible choices in ways that can save my life and possibly others.
