The Pub claims 2013 regular season title of See-Way Slo-Pitch

The 2013 See-Way Slow Pitch Softball playoffs will begin on Thursday with a pair of games at Monnett Park pitting DaVinci’s vs. Hosmer’s at 6 p.m. and Buster’s vs. Ogdensburg Bowl II at 7:15 p.m.

The playoffs will be staged a double elimination tournament which will climax on Sunday.

A make up game at Monnett will be played on Tuesday between DaVinci’s and Buster’s but on Thursday wins by The Pub and Ogdensburg Bowl I secured first round byes and the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds respectively.

The Pub rolled past DaVinci’s 15-7 to claim the regular season title while Ogdensburg Bowl I edged Hosmer’s 6-5. In other game of the night, Ogdensburg Bowl II edged Buster’s 14-13.

The Pub 15, DaVinci’s 7: Mike Bouchard smacked a three-run homerun and a triple and Scott McCormick laced four singles as The Pub scored five runs in the first and four in the sixth keying the win. John Denio, Mike Farrell, Ken Stull, Ryan Polniak and Skip Charlton each collected two hits.

Bill Durham collected a triple, a double and a single, Zach Sharpe roped a triple and a single and Shawn Knapp, Norm Martel and Chris White each singled twice for DaVinci’s.

Ogdensburg Bowl II 14, Buster’s 13: A walk off single in the seventh inning by Derrick Gray scored Cody Holland for the game winning run as Ogdensburg Bowl scored three in the seventh for the comeback. Ryan Bouchey supplied two doubles and a single for the winners while TJ Jacobs ripped a double and two singles. Josh Crawford, Tyler Bushey, David Thornhill and Derrick Gray all singled twice.

Adam Pirie supplied two doubles, Josh Rishe ripped three singles and Tim Barr, Kurtis Smithers and and Ethan Ladouceur each singled twice for Buster’s.

Ogdensburg Bowl I 6, Hosmer’s 5: Adam Bleau singled and scored Jim Samarco in the top of the seventh inning for the game winning run for Ogdensburg Bowl I which scored twice.

Chris Frary belted a homerun for Ogd. Bowl while John Missert lined four singles, Mike Raven and Brent Chevier each lined three singles and Bleau ripped a double and a single.

“We Three Kings” paced Hosmers as Darren King lined two singles and a double, Justin King connected for three singles and Joel King added a triple.

Thursday: At Monnet Park, Hosmer’s vs. DaVinci’s 6 p.m., Ogdensburg Bowl II vs. Buster’s 7:15 p.m.

Sunday At Monnett Park: DaVinci’s vs. Hosmer’s winner vs. The Pub 8:15 a.m., Buster’s vs. Ogdensburg Bowl II winner vs. Ogdensburg Bowl I 9:30 a.m.

games will also be played at 10:45 a.m., Noon, 1:15 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 3:45 p.m, and 5 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. if necessary.
