Mr. and Mrs. Peter Durante, 16th Lane, N.E., St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Watertown, observed their 50th wedding anniversary June 29.

Mr. Durante, son of the late Peter and Jean Durante, married Margaret “Midge” Storino, daughter of the late Mary and Dominick Storino, on June 29, 1963, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Watertown, with the Rev. Anthony F. Pease, assistant pastor, officiating. Honor attendants were Helen Storino, Watertown, sister of the bride, and Frank Carasetti, Ocala, Fla.

Mrs. Durante graduated in 1959 from Watertown High School. She was employed by the Jefferson County Clerk’s Office, Florida Parole and Probation and Hull and Co. She enjoys knitting and crocheting.

Mr. Durante graduated in 1960 From William Floyd High School, Shirley, Long Island. He served in the Air Force, stationed at Dry Hill Air Force Station, Watertown, and has worked at Grumman’s and General Defense in radiation systems, both in Florida. He currently works at Optek, Florida. Mr. Durante is a member of the American Legion and enjoys kayaking.

The couple has two daughters, Lisa Greenawalt, St. Petersburg, and Dana Reynolds, Franklin, Tenn., four grandchildren and one great-grandson.
