Mr. and Mrs. Roger W. Bombard, 52 years

Mr. and Mrs. Roger W. Bombard, 134 Bellew Ave. and Cornelius, N.C., observed their 52nd wedding anniversary Monday.

Mr. Bombard, son of the late Roger J. and Lilla V. Bombard, and Philomena J. Storino, daughter of the late Pasquale and Mary Storino, were married July 8, 1961, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, with the late Rev. James D. Phalon officiating. Honor attendants were Joseph Perino, New York City, and Victoria A. Williams, Liverpool, sister of the bride.

Mr. Bombard served in the Air Force from 1955 to 1959 as an air policeman. He worked for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department from 1961 until retirement in 1981 as a sergeant.

Mr. Bombard is a life member of Sampson Air Force Veterans Association and an honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus, third and fourth degrees, New York and North Carolina. He enjoys woodworking, gardening, camping, traveling and participating in craft fairs.

Mrs. Bombard worked with the Civilian Personnel Office at Fort Drum for 15 years and the state Department of Labor. She enjoys crafts, music, art, camping, gardening, traveling and participating in craft fairs.

Mrs. Bombard is a lifetime member of the National Home Gardening Association and Creative Arts Home Club.

Mr. and Mrs. Bombard co-owned Dalton’s Religious store and Gift Shoppe.

The couple has two daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis B. and Frank Taylor, Maiden, N.C., and Patricia A. and Justin Bossert, Cornelius, N.C.; a son, Roger P., Fredricksburg, Va.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
