FORT DRUM — Months after the deaths, no conclusions have been made by military investigators about three separate cases on post, involving a 4-year-old boy and two soldiers.

In an email Wednesday to the Times, Christopher P. Grey, spokesman for the Army Criminal Investigation Command, Quantico, Va., said the investigations still were open and ongoing.

The unnamed 4-year-old died Dec. 10 at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, after being taken by ambulance to the hospital from an on-post residence. The name of the boy has not been released, with post officials citing privacy concerns for their decision not to make any information available.

The deaths of two soldiers also are being reviewed.

Sgt. Carl E. Brock, a 28-year-old communications transmission systems operator with the 2nd Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, died Dec. 17 at an on-post residence run by Fort Drum Mountain Community Homes. Sgt. Brock was from Claremore, Okla.

Few details have been released in connection with the death of Pfc. Michael A. Gorman, who was found dead in his barracks room Feb. 5.

In previous emails with the Times, Mr. Grey has said the command’s policy is to not discuss publicly specific elements of investigations until they are complete and, if necessary, after any connected legal proceedings.
