Residents of the town of Denmarks proposed new water district will soon be asked to supply information to support the towns application for funding of necessary water system upgrades.
The town will apply to appropriate federal and state funding programs to help offset the projects cost to district residents. In order to qualify for the most favorable grant and loan terms, an income survey will need to be undertaken to determine income eligibility within the proposed service area, said Thomas Fleming, town supervisor
Survey forms will be mailed out to town of Denmarks water district users. In order to guarantee the confidentiality of survey returns, the forms are anonymous and the data will be processed by Snow Belt Housing Company Inc., a non-profit community development agency in Lowville.
