Harold Dennison passed away July 13 at the age of 93 at his home. A native of Granby, Harold had resided on Dennison Road in Hannibal for the last 32 years. Harold was a World War II veteran and served overseas in France during the war. He worked in the American Woolen Mill in Fulton before starting his career with GLF, later called Agway. He retired in 1982 as manager of Fulton Agway. He was a member of American Legion Prior Stock Post 1552, Hannibal; VFW Post 569, Fulton; B.P.O.E. Lodge 830, Fulton and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 1280, Fulton. After retirement Harold enjoyed raising beef cattle on his small farm. He also enjoyed gardening, hooking rugs, mowing his lawn, 4 wheeling and spending time with his many friends. He was famous for being the neighborhood watchman and making sure everything was okay around the block. Until the very end he was a great “foreman” and lavished in telling whomever what to do and how to do it. Harold was predeceased by his parents, Amos and Bessie Dennison; two brothers, Robert and Frank and his wife of 69 years, Edith W. Dennison. Surviving are his children; Nancy Lyndaker of Lowville, NY; Jeanne (Ronald) Bush of Mason, MI; Roger (Danise) Dennison of Fulton, NY and Deborah (Nick) Partrick of Vernon, VT. He had 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by dear friends and neighbors, Norman and Mary Ellen Ellis. There will be no service or calling hours. Donations can be made in Harold’s memory to Oswego Health Home Care 113 Schuyler Street Fulton, NY. Burial will be in Springbrook Cemetery, Fair Haven. Foster Funeral Home, Hannibal has charge of arrangements.
